Animated Gifs |
Q: Why shouldn't animated Gifs be a lot larger? Although many people use high speed modems nowadays, there are still millions of slower connections out there, and large animations slow a page's loading time right down. Flash animation can be a lot larger, since it is vector based, but even then, many browsers crash if the flash animation is too large or too long. At this stage moderation is still a wise choice for best overall results.

Ordering |
Q: How do I go about making an order? If you have not already received a quote, we have a quote form. Should you decide to go ahead with that, you may use our order form. Q: How do we pay? We accept payment by card (Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, American Express and Diners Club), check, or wire. You may email, order online, fax, or post your orders to us. Q: How do I email photos to you? Include each photo as an "attachment" to your email. Details about this vary according to your email program. We are happy to help - tell us the email program and version you use and we'll send instructions. Q: What if I order a particular design, but am not entirely happy with the result? We believe the customer is always right. All work we supply can be re-edited to your requirements. We will work with you to provide the result you want. If a refund was required we would deduct the amount we charge per hour for the work already produced, and refund the remainder, but this would very rarely happen as our artists work hard to satisfy.

Transparent Gifs |
Q: "When I open my transparent Gif, it has a block of white around it!" Q: "I viewed a transparent Gif with my browser, but it is against a white background. How can I change my browser's page color, or screen color, so I can see if the Gif is really transparent?" Please see our tutorial on transparent Gifs, here. |

Copyright |
Q: Do we own the copyright on the logo, or do you keep this? According to the Berne convention, all work is copyrighted the moment you own it. It is still advisable to place the verbal notice of copyright on a page with your logo printed. © Copyright (your name) (the year)
We think that trademarking your logo is money well spent. You can also do this: 1) Take a small, envelope-sized printout of your artwork, making sure the artwork goes right to the edge of the paper. Post this to yourself as registered mail - without enclosing it in an envelope. Obtain a receipt. When this item arrives you'll need to sign for it. It will have the date stamped over it, which will prove you owned it at that time. 2) Publish your artwork in a newspaper ad, with the copyright (mentioned above) clearly displayed. The newspaper has the date printed at the top or bottom of each page, so keep the whole page as proof. 3) Ask us to verify that we designed your logo at the time we did.
