| Roy Liechtenstein exemplified the world of halftone printing in paintings like his 1963 'Whaam!' Liechtenstein was fascinated with the idea of, and technology employed in, printing common comics. By magnifying halftone prints on large canvases Liechtenstein made the characteristics of halftone printing famous to a world outside of printing. |
